Ashley & Will

Friday, April 18, 2008  -  Engagements

Ashley and Will are getting married on October 11th in the Historic District of Greenwood SC at a private residence. For the engagement we decided on Falls Park and captured some great shots of this couple and even a few of their black labrador. Engagement shoots are encouraged for several reasons. First and foremost, it's an opportunity for the groom to meet the photographer. Secondly it allows the couple to get comfortable in front of the camera prior to the wedding. Lastly it adds I think to the experience and also allows family and friends to view the documented love you share. We all have those friends who have to see it to believe it. Or maybe they just didn't realize how much in love a couple may be in. Thus a photograph can serve many purposes.

Ashley and Will were terrific subjects, and I look forward to documenting the wedding.

Jonah + Cade

Monday, April 7, 2008  -  Personal

Easter weekend I made time to take the boys to the beach for a photo ssesion. I took Jonah downtown Charleston to Quicksilver, the only location in the Carolinas. We picked up a pair of shorts, a shirt, some kickin' shoes and a hat,. Then jumped across the street to J. CREW for Cade and purchased a pair of shorts, a long sleeved shirt and some colorful flops. From the beach to eating pizza and calzones at Andolini's, room service, Baskin Robbins and watching I Am Legend we had a awesome time.

Give me your MySpace pose!!!!

I try to capture personalities with children, and I can't tell you how much this photograph says about Cade. He is just the coolest kid ever. I LOVE this photo.

His voice is about as sweet as this photograph. Oh and Cade is actually in photo club. He may be the next Storyteller.

Though they compete with each other, brotherly love exists.

A model for sure. J.Crew needs to giv Cade a contract.

Cade being cade.
