While looking through the lens taking the bridal party photograph after the wedding I took a step backwards and tripped over the church's flower pot. Luckily I wasn't moving fast and I caught myself. As everyone watched and called out "WHOA!", I replied back with the comment of "Don't worry I am a ninja". At this time everyone busted out laughing and the laughter almost became tears. I knew there was an inside joke somewhere. At the reception the best man came up to me and explained what the commotion was all about. At the Rehearsal Dinner the night before the best man read a letter that Grant had wrote in his early teens. Remind you this was read aloud to everyone. The letter apparently revealed how Grant wanted to be nothing more than a ninja when he grew up. OMG. I can almost hear everyone laughing at the Rehearsal Dinner. Anyway Ashley and Grant had a ROCK STAR wedding. With a dance floor and KICKIN' national touring 80's cover band all guests had a BLAST. Thank you both for allowing me to be part of your day.
Elisabeth and Joel were married in downtown Charleston on the most beautiful of days. My assistant Kara was feeling under the weather so big thanks to Andrew Bryant and Jarrad Lister who assisted me with the documentation of this fabulous event. From the beginning, we split up and I captured Elisabeth getting ready. I think the ladies were all relaxed until the air conditioner made a horrific noise and was quickly shut off. As the room's temperature slowly became slightly uncomfortable, so did the anxiety. The bride nervously getting ready never gets old and seeing Elisabeth's emotions as the time grew near was priceless. You can totally see how nervousness led to joy in the photographs. She looks so happy and at ease with her now husband Joel.
Some of my clients become more than just clients, they become friends. This is indeed the case with Susan and Karl. I went out to Downtown Live last week after working out and was surprised to see Susan and Carl. Through the process of initially meeting last year to the engagement, bridal. eating lunch with Susan and her mom, you get close to couples and even their family. I am so blessed to have clients like Susan and Karl. You guys make my job so much fun.
Susan and Karl are getting married at Buncombe Street Methodist downtown Greenville on May 17th with a reception at the Poinsett Club.
